It seems that Apple is working on another potentially highly interesting project, an iPad only app for video streaming which could directly compete with cable companies. This app which is rumored to be rather strongly influenced by Steve Jobs himself, will challenge established cable companies but with the video being delivered online. This new app could offer a large quantity of content which is an obvious requirement given the huge amount of video already available to cable subscribers.
Some analysts have already commented that this app should as interesting and similar to the concept of Direct TV which is already well proven in tough market competition. Given that Steve Jobs is personally involved with this app it could be expected that it will have some interesting peculiarities, as Steve Jobs never failed to create breakthrough ideas in any of the areas he was invested in.
This new project could be also related to Apple’s new data center, which to illustrate things a bit is almost double the size when compared with Facebook’s data center. In fact it could be that this heavy duty data center is purposefully created for video data sharing only. How will Netflix react to this new challenge?
Another interesting question is will iOS 5 and the next iPhone offer some clues on this new Apple project? We will have to see and wait as iOS 5 and the next iPhone are about to be released. What do you expect to see coming from Apple? Let us know in the comment section!
Apple changes their add about iPhone’s superb features. The video gets slightly edited and the only visible difference is that the end of the add is changed from somewhat ludicrous and senseless end where the voice says “If you haven’t an iPhone, then you haven’t an iPhone.”. The new version of the add finishes with this sentence: “another thing that defines an iPhone as an iPhone.”. In our humble opinion this is a more intelligent conclusion. Interesting how Apple works things to every detail. All of us could learn a bit from this strategy by Apple. If something isn’t good enough you can always improve on it, whatever the occasion, your social life or a an expensive add campaign. If it is not good enough, or better yet: if it isn’t perfect you ought to change it!
Here is the old version of the add.
And here is the one with the improvement.
Do you agree with us when we say the later sounds better?
Did you ever catch some image with your iPhone that was brilliant or at least very interesting? I guess you have, but it probably wont be as epical as this one captured by an entertainment entrepreneur Stephanie Gordon flying form New York to Palm Beach Florida. After the captain of the air plane noted passenger that there is a chance they will witness the last launching of the Endeavour space shuttle she decided to make some pictures if possible. As the plane prepared to descend Stephani Gordon brandished her iPhone 4 and captured some stunning images of the Space shuttle skyrocketing above the clouds. She had posted the video and photos she made with her iPhone 4 to her Twitter after her plane landed onto the airport. After only a couple of hours here photos have been retweeted by hundreds of Twitter users worldwide including @NASA. She was also connected and interviewed by some big TV networks.
