Steve Jobs exhibition

Its been more than four weeks since Steve Jobs, founder of Apple passed away but many people still feel the need to pay respect to one of the most influential and inspirational business leader of our times. Many ordinary people have created various tributes to show their appreciation to Steve Jobs but here is one which really stands out.

United States Patent Office in Alexandria, state of Virginia has opened an exhibition made of enormous iPhones presenting more than 300 patents by Apple’s exceptional CEO and his team.

Name of Steve Jobs is connected to some of the most important Apple patents like those essential ones which can be found in iPhone and iPad. Interestingly one of Steve Jobs patents was used in a recent  lawsuit against Samsung in Australian court and this helped Apple to get the injunctions against Samsung selling their tablet in Australia. The exhibition will be open to the public until 15th January.

Apple working on a real Apple television?

Apple television set

Apple is apparently getting into experimental production of real television sets. It seems that this new rumour became quite exciting and aroused various expectations and predictions after yesterdays release of the official biography of Steve Jobs, which was written by Walter Isaacson. His book reveals that Jobs himself was interested in building a new kind of television. In his own words, he felt the need to make an integrated television set which could sync with all iOS devices as well as with the iCloud. It would need to feature a simplest user interface known to the world.

Back in the real world, integration of television into iOS and iCloud offers some unique obstacles. This could be what Steve Jobs meant when he said that he “cracked the code” for this new Apple product. Could we see an Apple television set which uses Siri voice helper? That would indeed be an revolutionary television set. Imagine controlling your television set with your voice, choosing shows, movies or whatever you prefer to watch in a Siri like fashion. Sounds fabulously doesn’t it? We cant wait to see such a device. Is Apple ready to change the face of television just like they changed smartphones tablets and personal computers?

Steve Jobs resigns, Tim Cook to take over as CEO of Apple

Tim Cook, Apple CEO

Steve Jobs was one of the reasons Apple came back to life after it made some big mistakes in early nineties and became the most influential company in the world. But as great as he is, people often tend to forget that Apple is a big company with a large team of creative and hard working individuals, capable enough to follow Steve’s great ideas. So while it is true that Steve Jobs leaves his position of captain of Apple he will still remain a large influence on Apple’s future.

And it isn’t really a surprise that he choose Tim Cook as his successor. He has strongly recommended Tim Cook to be the person to take over all of his responsibilities. Many investors and journalists have been critical of Apple’s stability in post Jobs times especially since it is well known that Steve Jobs has difficult health related issues.

It is worthwhile to notice that Tim Cook already has experiences as the Apple’s commanding officer, as he was stepping up several times in last years, during Steve Jobs prolonged sick leaves when he was treated for his pancreatic cancer. While Mr. Cook as certainly proved himself as a successful manager it remains to be seen can he lead Apple the same way Jobs did. Can anyone else be such an charismatic and inspiring leader as the old grey wizard, Steve Jobs?

It is hard to say at this time. But as hardcore Apple users and fans we wish him best, and sincerely hope that Apple will continue providing us with great hardware and software products in the time ahead.
