Chronic Dev Team works on a new strategic approach for jailbreak development. Now they decided to ask for help from any willing iOSe user. All you have to do is to simply enable sending crash reports from your device, which could potentially help developers to solve the security puzzle which could then lead to a new, untethered jailbreak for IOS devices.
After the initial rumors that Chronic Dev Team has developed a reliable jailbreak for iOS 5, members of the group revealed that Apple has already closed a number of previously discovered security holes, even before they made the final iOS version available to the public. So apparently they were a little bit too optimistic because Apple didn’t fail like in previous cases to plug the security holes between beta releases and the official version of iOS 5.
If they are to find a new jailbreak solution in the nearby future, jailbreak devs will need some help from average iOS users. To make this real, Chronic Dev Team has just developed a tool which will gather crash reports from users devices and send them to the team for further analysis. The same tool will change your iTunes app so it wont send the same crash reports to Apple. All data gathered in this way will be stored on a web server controlled by the Chronic Dev Team. This procedure could boost the efforts of Chronic Dev Team and enable them to quickly and efficiently discover possible weaknesses which could be utilized for the next jailbreak. This tool should be released very soon, probably in a couple of days. So stay tuned to our blog and we will notify you as soon as we have any news on this interesting story. We certainly hope they will have success with this project. After all we all need the jailbreak, doesn’t we?

According to the latest rumors coming from the Cupertino, California based company we will in the near future see a new, improved version of iTunes software. iTunes 11 should bring a mayor change in the UI area as well as improved cloud integration. If we can can conclude anything from the past and being aware of Apple‘s amazing designing capabilities, we can expect new iTunes to become even more fabulous and intuitive.
Being clean and simple is one of the hallmarks of all Apple designs. And since the cloud is the latest buzz in the online technology world and according to rumors on mayor companies working on their own cloud services, Apple will want to offer much higher integration in their own cloud, dubbed iCloud. So instead of iTunes being an app for browsing through apps and other data, it will integrate the Store into the app itself, just like some other apps are doing right now, like Spotify for example.
It could also be that the cloud backups will become a reality with this version of iTunes 11. So if you decide you need to backup your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad tablet, the same backup will be stored on your computer as well as in the cloud. This also means that your app data will get saved in the cloud, so if you reach a particular level in some cool game, that data will get synced to the cloud and afterwards into your own iTunes database.
This rumor isn’t confirmed, and as always should be taken with a grain of salt, but it does seem plausible, since Apple is continuously increasing its efforts to offer much more through their own iCloud services.

Apple has upgraded the iTunes to version 10.2 and this has stirred some rumours about Apple planing measures about jailbroken iPhones.
They have upgraded iTunes in addition to the forthcoming iOS version 4.3 and the new iPad 2. But since Apple always improves in order to make things harder for the jailbreak community, some iPhone jailbreak developers have doubts that Apple could use iTunes to block jailbroken iPhones. Because of this some users don’t want to upgrade their iTunes version at all.
While iPhone users with jailbreak have Cydia as free version of App Store, iTunes is still the only software used for the firmware upgrade, backup, maintenance and almost everything else.
This has prompted developers in the famous Dev Team to work on the development of an alternative to iTunes software which will be tailored to suit users with the jailbreak and unlock on their iPhones.
One of the main members of the Dev Team which is also known as @posixninja, and is one of the main people behind iPhone jailbreaks said in a twitter message, that the Dev Team is working on their alternative iTunes software.
In his tweet to an iPhone jailbreak user he said that they are busy working on this project and that it wont be available for at least next 6 months.
So this project is still in the beginning phase. And in order to accomplish this they will need to solve some complicated issues. This new alternative to iTunes should have similar options like the official version of iTunes including app management, iDevice sync option, media player etc. It should also be able to upgrade and downgrade firmware versions similar to Pwnage tools.
Lets hope they will develop this as soon as possible.
