As some of you know iPhone Dev team is busy working on a beta testing of a jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 which is based on Stefan Esser’s (aka i0n1c) exploit. It seems that they have made some good progress and that the release date for this jailbreak is much closer now. MuscleNerd has just sent a twitter message about the need for solving some small Cydia jailbreak problems and after this the jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 will go out to the public!
This is excellent news for all of you who want to upgrade their devices to 4.3.1 and jailbreak it. Seems that our best hopes are coming true and it the jailbreak should be available in next couple of days!

There has been a heated discussion among jailbreak developers whether Apple had luck when they patched the Comex’s exploit for jailbreaking iPad 2 with 4.3.1 or was this leaked by someone form the group. As always Apple world is dynamic and restless.iOS upgrades by Apple are followed by lightning fast jailbreaks and somewhat slower unlocks. Apple has today released the upgrade to 4.3.1 iOS version. This version seems to be only a bug fixer but none the less jailbreak experts from the iPhone Dev Team are warning users not to upgrade carelessly.
MuscleNerd which is a famous member of jailbreak development teams has warned all jailbreakers not to upgrade yet as the jailbreak is not available fro this iOS version.
He said in his tweet that iPhone and iPad unlockers should stay away and should not upgrade to iOS 4.3.1 firmware. This is also, in his words, advisable to all iPad 2 owners caring about the jailbreak, just in order to be safer and more open for future jailbreak solutions.
He also noted that he doesn’t think that the exploit found by Comex has been already patched up in this upgrade.

We have recently seen an iPhone with iOS 4.3.1 installed. As you know iOS 4.3.1 is still in testing phase and not released yet to the public. This upgrade was meant to fix bugs noted in the 4.3 version of the firmware. Apparently the battery life bug seems somewhat improves=d but not completely solved with this upgrade. The iOS 4.3.1 should be made available in next couple of weeks. Perhaps Apple will add some more changes into this upgraded version. Are you willing to upgrade your iPhone firmware? Or will you choose to keep your jailbreak unlock?
Honestly we are not sure this upgrade is an essential thing for our iPhones. What do you think? Let us know your opinion on this.
