iPhone 4S, despite initial dissatisfaction by some analysts and users alike, has proved many times already that it is a winning product by Apple. Since Apple started recently to release the iPhone 4S to new countries it also became available in Hong Kong. Incredibly, all devices offered as pre order were sold out in less than 10 minutes which is a record for any device. Apple offered pre orders on Friday, while the iPhone 4S will become available in retail stores seven days later.
Some analysts expect that Chinese market could prove as a crucial one for Apple’s sustained future growth. Last years profits for Apple in China (including PR China, Taiwan and Hong Kong) were more than $4.5 billions which is a considerable growth compared to the same period of 2010, when the profits were 270% lower. China buys approximately 16% of Apple’s overall sales, which is an enormous growth from only 2% back in 2009.
There are already a number of official Apple stores in China.And Chinese government was swift in removing the fake Apple stores from business earlier this year. All in all we think that Apple has a great future in China. Expectancy of high growth will probably prompt Apple to step up their offerings of services and products for this large market, and this will certainly benefit end users in China.
Apple has just received approval for selling iPad 2 Wifi 3G model in China and sales of the best tablet in the world should begin this week, probably already on Wednesday. Previously only the iPad 2 3G model of the tablet was available in China, courtesy of a large and well organised black market. Now iPad 2 will become officially available for Chinese users, which is obviously much better and safer option for all users. iPad 2 will be available for purchase through official Apple online store, legal retail stores and licensed retail stores.
So far there are no rumors of the tablet becoming available through one of Chinese network carriers like China Unicom and the prices for the tablet are not yet known. If past experiences count for something, Apple will not reveal the price for iPad 2 until the sales start on Wednesday.
Here come the new fake iPhone 5. And you know what ? It seems that iPhone clones are getting better and better. Now they even throw out video ads for their merchandise. But unfortuataely, ilooks like an iPhone has weight and thicknes as an iPhone but really, it isn’t and iPhone. It is a java based copycat phone which appears similar on a first look, but honestly it is a piece of junk when compared with the real deal. Anyway it seems that this guys have some serious potential. How long before their cheap copies start having better processors and memory? I bet we wont wait for to long. So Apple, be careful, be very careful. I am sure Myspace once thought Facebook to be a joke, probably as same as Yahoo thought of Google. One day a company rules the world and next they they are gone into history for ever!

Who could know that anyone would be willing to sell his kidney for an iPad 2? Well, a Chinese teen was so eager to get his iPad 2 that he was willing to do so no matter the consequences. Now similar thing happens again.
According to a rumor originating again in China, a Chinese teenage girl is offering her virginity to someone who is willing to buy her an iPhone 4. The story became internationally known after it was published in Korean newspaper. The story mentioned unidentified Chinese girl, born in 1990 who has stated on Chinese version of Twitter called Weibu that her dream was to own an iPhone 4. Since having no other way to get the iPhone 4, she stated publicly that she is will sell her virginity to the first person who provides her with the device. The Weibu message was followed with her picture.
It seems that the post by this girl received a lot of critics and negative comments on the Weibu, and some of the comments even claimed that her account was stolen by malicious hackers. We can only hope that this is the case and that no one is crazy enough to sell itself or their own organs for a smartphone.
Apple‘s products are nice and interesting, but are they worth of your own health and self respect? We don’t think so. We wonder what could Apple’s reaction be to such weird news. We are sure that it would be a great marketing trick if they decided to send this girl a free iPhone 4. Who knows maybe we will read something like this very soon.
Since the launch of the iPad 2 tablet and the popular white iPhone 4 on the Chines market a couple of days ago, China was one of the most interesting areas for Apple‘s marketing and sales departments. Obviously the Chinese are as hungry for Apple products as the rest of the world. iPad 2 tablet was sold out in only 4 hours which has even caused violent clashes among the desperate buyers. Something simmilar has also happened during the white iPhone 4 launch in Beijing Apple store. But more interesting informations come from China regarding iOS jailbreaking. Here are some statistics on jailbrekaing in China.
According to Chinese market research company Umeng, 35% of iOS devices in China are jailbroken. Here are some other interesting statistics on iDevice in China:
54% of iOS devices are iPhone 4.
16% of iOS devices are iPhone 3GS.
27% of iPads in China are jailbroken.
Those are very interesting statistics as they show that proprtionally higher numbers of iPhones are jailbroken than anywere else in the world. Some analysts even hold the opinion that this could be a significant problem with the sales of paid apps for this market. We can only expect that the number of jailbroken devices will sharply increase when the jailbreak for the new iPad 2 becomes available. What is your opinion on this?
