Apple has released a new firmware update for the iPhone. If you want to update to the latest 3.1 version, please login to the membersarea and follow the instructions on how to update.   We have a update / unlock solution for both Windows and Mac OSx users inside the membersarea.  

Do not update your iPhone the regular way ( via iTunes) When iTunes prompts you to install a new software update, make sure you click “” cancel”", and follow the instructions in the membersarea instead!

What can you expect from the 3.1 update:

1. Video editing on iPhone 3GS will not overwrite the clip over the original when you are editing a clip.
2. iPhone will vibrate when moving around icons
3. In Safari there is a new “Fraud Protection” toggle.
4. The iPhone now boots up faster.
5. Voice Control now works over Bluetooth.
6. New APIs to enable third party apps to access videos and edit them.
7. Updated AT&T profile to 4.2 (MMS soon to come on AT&T)
8. Updated modem firmware to 5.08.01
9. Improvements to OpenGL and Quartz.

All customers and members should stay away from upgrading to BETA 3.1 version which was released by apple yesterday. Like always the giant tries to fix some ‘holes’ used for the unlock proccess. We are not going to unlock any beta version since changes could be applied to the same very quick. As soon as the final version comes out to the public we will release our new unlock solution. Please be aware of this: don’t upgrade your iphone to any BETA version.

The New iPhone 3GS – The S is for SPEED

Apple has announced to release the new iPhone 3GS on the 19th of June.

The 3.0 Firmware will be available for regular iPhone 3G users on the 17th of June.

The key improvements for the iPhone 3GS Model:

• - Performance increase: The new iPhone 3GS processor  is clocked at twice the speed of the iPhone 3G model, which will result in a nice performance increase.
• - More Memory: The iPhone 3G is available in 16GB model and a 32GB model.
• - Improved Camera with auto-focus ( 3.0 megapixel versus 2.0 megapixel on the 3G model) You can zoom in and out by sliding your finger over the screen.
• - Video Recording support. ( You can now record video’s with your iPhone 3GS 30 Fps – video Editing support).
• - Voice control: Voice control will let you play a song just by asking for it and even access a Genius-driven play list with a voice command.
• - Build in Compass
• - Landscape keyboard
• - Improved 3D graphics: Improved 3D graphics processor, and Open GL 2.0 ES support. This is great news for gamers, as this is a major improvement!
• - HSDPA network support. AT&T’s HSDPA network is even faster than the 3G network,  it also has a faster Internet connection.
• - Improved battery Life – The table below shows the important improvements.

Apple has announced the Features of the new iPhone firmware version 3.0 that will be released to the public in the summer of 2009.

Here is an overview of Features that you can expect:

Copy & Paste: Finally Apple realized that we iPhone users are in need of a copy and paste text application.
The copy & Paste app. will also let you select and copy and paste multiple pictures so you can paste them directly into an Email , ready to send!

Search Application: Apple created a new search app that will allow you to search your complete iPhone content, so you can find files, addresses, photos, audio and video quickly and efficiently.

Mail Search Application: Another nice addition is the mail search application. This app will search your entire Email folders, and calender. Imap is supported!

IPhone Modem: Connect your 3G iPhone to your computer, and use the iPhone as a modem!
This is a great feature that allows you to connect your laptop to the internet anywhere, via your iPhone.

Landscape Keyboard: Finally you will be able to rotate your iPhone and get a larger keyboard to type your texts with.

MMS Function: Finally the iPhone supports MMS! This new app will allow you to send anything, from images, to vcards, sound etc. ( no video or word documents yet)

Improved Stock Application: Stocks will now let you find and read related news, stories and Stocks related gossip.

Stereo Bluetooth Audio: Finally A2DP audio support. This will let you pair with a A2DP audio device like speakers or headphone.

Safari Login credentials: Safari will now be able to remember your login credentials, so you will not need to enter your username and password, every time you visit a website.

Shake to Shuffle: When using your iPod, you can just shake the iPhone to shuffle the songs randomly. I hope they have a way to disable this.

Wifi auto Logon: Wifi will now automatically connect to your subscribed hotspots ( finally!)

Voice Memo Application: A new iPhone 3.0 application that turns your iPhone into a voice recorder.

Send and Receive Files: a New App that will let you exchanges files between iPod’s and iPhone’s.

Peer 2 Peer Bluetooth: will let you send and receive files via bluetooth. Finally a wireless connection possibility to send and receive files between your iPhone and your computer

Push messaging: Finally available in 3.0, Push messaging. Your iPhone will vibrate/play a sound when you receive a new message, Email, or IM message. even if you don’t have the application running.

VIOP: The new iPhone version will support Voice over IP, which means you can skype via your iPhone, and use voice functionality over the internet.

As you can see the iPhone 3.0 has quite some interesting features! We are definitely looking forward to its new release!
